This paper mainly study the intelligent hybrid power filters. Active power filter which can compensate harmonic and reactive power real-time is a kind of power electric equipment for dynamic harmonics suppression and reactive power compensation.Based on the traditional method, join a feed-forward algorithm, according to compare the actual detecting harmonic currents and compensation harmonic current to calibration the objective function and make filtering much more accurate and fast.Now, the development of power electronic has serious pollution on the power quality .Many kinds of fault and accident caused by harmonic are endless. Harmonic control and reactive power compensation is the important problem which need to solve urgently. Currently,method generally choose hybrid electric power filter system which combinate static reactive compensation (SVC) and active filter (APF). But the traditional method will bring the unavoid system error, so the intelligent filter which is introduced by BP neural network algorithm have high theory value and practical value.This paper tells the harmonic problem in the power grid and research current of active power filters;The second chapter presents the basic principle of active power filter; The third chapter analyses many kinds of harmonic detection method, and analyzes the d-q method is better than other methods; The fourth chapter analysis the superiority by introducing the BP neural network algorithm, and the simulation results show that the intelligent hybrid power filter is much more accurate and rapid,;The last chapter is summarize and looking.
