As the rapid development of the wireless mobile communication technology, the B3G/4G mobile communication system will be a heterogeneous wireless network integrated by various kinds of wireless access technologies in the future. How to select the most suitable network for a mobile node is becoming one of the key issues of heterogeneous network integration, attracting a large number of domestic and foreign scholars and research institutions to conduct in-depth study and discussion. Therefore, this thesis was studied the heterogeneous wireless networks selection algorithm of complex handover scenario. The main contents are as follows:1, a complex heterogeneous wireless networks handover scenario was adopted. The scenario is integrated by various kinds of wireless networks. Mobile nodes in the scenario also have multiple antennas to support a variety of network air interfaces.2, a network selection algorithm based on the MDP model was proposed in this thesis. The feature of the algorithm is forecasting wireless network traffic with the combination of chaotic time series and support vector machine, and then consider the network utilization of the next time, which reflected by the network traffic forecasting value, as an important influencing factor of the network selection algorithm, to achieve load balancing between the various networks. The proposed algorithm also considered the RSS, node speed and direction, charge rate of target network, and electricity consumption rate, etc. The weight of each factor was determined by the AHP algorithm based on different user preferences. Then the MPI algorithm was used to calculate the expected total reward of the MDP model, and finally selected the greatest reward value as the optimal target network.3, simulation results show that the proposed network selection algorithm achieves load balancing among the networks, and is better than the traditional network selection algorithm, which consider the bandwidth as a priority influencing factor, in some network performances, such as packet loss rate and goodput.
