With the rapid development of modern industrial manufacture and the advancement of science and technology, modern electronic devices are becomeing more and more versatile, their features are perfecter. But it makes the expenses of maintenance and repair increase. Developing high-performance circuit fault diagnosis system is the effective way to improve test quality and efficiency of electronic equipment, so is to decrease the difficulty and costs.This circuit fault diagnosis system hardware and software design are introduced in detail. Author's mian work concentrares on spects as follows:(1) Described the theory and development of analog circuit fault diagnosis technology. the design of BP neural network is described in detail.(2) In this circuit fault diagnosis system, we use TI's TMS320C5416 chip as the core processor and design circuit fault diagnosis system's hardware platform based on DSP. In the analog signal acquisition part, we designed a signal acquisition circuit of 1024 channels and the signal can be programmably amplified. in the control bus Part, using Altera's CPLD EPM7128 processing the part of the control logic circuit. In the communications section, we designed a serial communication circuit with MAX3111E chip between DSP and PC. In digital chip test, analog amplifier chip test and PCB board test, analysised the theory of testing, and designed those circuits on modulars.(3) In the program on DSP,we designed the structure of the overall framework of the main program and various sub-modules. Completed the design of communication between PC and DSP module, digital chip testing module, analog amplifier testing module and PCB board testing module.(4) In the PC software of circuit fault diagnosis system,we used ActiveX technology to combine VB and Matlab and designed a BP neural network, and gave the code. In the circuit fault diagnosis system,we used the BP neural network to diagnose a video amplifier circuit, the results showed that the method can realized rapid and accurate real-time diagnosis.The circuit fault diagnosis system implemented the digital chips, analog amplifiers and the PCB boards accurate rapid real-time diagnosis, so it has practical significance.
