Research On Evaluation Mechanism For Creative Design Supporting Engine

Creative thinking is the driving force of social development. It is the highest expression of human thinking. Among all kinds of thinking, creative thinking, compared with conventional thinking, refers to the thinking process of solving problems with new and original methods. This kind of thinking not only reveals the nature and laws of objective things, but also uplifts the material and spiritual civilization to a great extent. There still exist certain problems in creative thinking, such as the huge volume of knowledge required in the process of creative thinking and the limitation of human minds. As the development of computer science and technology, there appears a tool to aid human creative thinking and to free people from strategic thinking. Creative Design Support Engine in our research is such a system that can aid creative thinking.Creative Design Support Engine, whose research materials are the patent results, can help to yield better ideas in human creation. It includes problem definition, reminding process, creating process and evaluating process. The present research aims to look into the evaluation mechanism of Creative Design Support Engine. The evaluation mechanism is to evaluate the new ideas generated in the process of creation based on the practicability, creativity and novelty of patent, so that we can see whether new ideas possess the patent characteristics and practicability or not.Creative Design Support Engine includes the following modules: network patent crawler, patent text pre-process, patent text classification of creativity and technicality, threshold computing, weight computing, practicability judgment, creativity judgment, and novelty judgment. The system applies text mining technologies to the evaluation process of Creative Design Support Engine, carries out text similarity computing of new ideas generated in the process of creation, acquires the standards of practicability, creativity and novelty of new ideas, and then evaluates whether the news ideas possess practicability, creativity and novelty based on the threshold . The system has already been realized based on the B/S mode.The present research is an attempt to explore the evaluation process of Creative Design Support Engine, and also a solution based on the characteristics of patent texts.
