In 3GPP R5, the IP Multimedia Sub-system (IMS) was first introduced into the mobile core network. For the IMS opens the service ability to the third party, this has brought potential for the rapid growth of services.As a result, the FI(Feature Interaction) problem will deteriorate the growing of services and the complexity of future network. If the problem of service interaction cannot be properly solved, it will take effect on the deployment of IMS services, and further on the success of IMS.The purpose of the paper is, to study the method of detecting feature interaction dynamically which can avoid the problem that we can't know the internal logic of service, and their appearing is much faster than the modeling.Firstly, the paper analyses the principles of inadequate service trigger mechanism based on IMS iFC(initial Filtering Criteria), which leads to the IMS FI causes and specific features. Then we make a classification of FIs in IMS. Based on the the relationship amount service behavior, purpose and the participants, we design the method to descript service behavior and rules, which is based on SIP extended. Based on this method, we have designed two sets of IMS FI detection rules. With the IMS service network and principles of session, we have design the model structure of FI manager (FIM). The paper elaborate the detailed of the four modules: Off-line detection, COCOON, service notation parser and rules detection, also give clear statements by the way of process flow chart. Finally, take use of OSIMS open source projects, we successfully set up MS core network simulation environment in the Linux system, on which we can run the IMS business and make algorithm testing.This article summarizes the research on IMS FI detection program; include the description, analysis of critical service information, service notation parser, generation of test sets, algorithm details and so on. Finally we adopt four typical interaction instances to shows the application of the algorithm.So far FI problem is still quite difficult, industry has not made a breakthrough in its last twenty years. Detection algorithm in this paper is based on service rules, so many issues, such as the service internal logic, can be avoided. Besides, Service Broker is only defined functionality in IMS standard, but no specific achievement for atandardization. The FIM program can provide a reference for 3GPP to make a well-developed technical specification to achieve service interaction management in Service Broke.
