Research And Application Of Data Mining Of Network Performance Data Based On VoIP

The issue of fault location received extensive concern in the field of network management. The data mining approaches are introduced to extract clues from the network performance data for fault location.Aiming at the key problems in network data mining, we have made a comprehensive analysis on the network performance data and the methods of processing network performance data, some important characteristics are discovered, and a data processing method based on analysis of network performance data is built to help us to extract the clues between network performance data and network fault.We use OPNET to design a series of VoIP-based network model scenarios and simulate these network model scenarios. Then we do analysis and data mining on the simulate performance data and extract the clues between network performance data and network fault successfully, which has a great benefit to the network manager for fault location.
