Development And Software Reuse Of VPDN Backend Management System

VPDN (Virtual Private Dialup Network) is a popular way to organize network for enterprises. Users can connect to Intranet by dialing way in ADSL, LAN or HTTP with VPDN. Comparing with MPLS VPN and other VPN technologies, VPDN can choose internet or VPN network in the same physical bus according to different accounts. VPDN has features of flexible and low cost, so it is used a lot in enterprises. Shao Xing TeleCom started to construct VPDN from 2005. It adapts Huawei Authentication system as Radius platform, and uses Shasta of Nortel Networks as LNS, to provide VPDN service. As users increasing, Shasta and Radius can not meet the requirement any more. So it calls for new vpdn system to take place the old one. ShaoXing TeleCom develops VPDN backend management system to upgrade VPDN system performance and management.I work on the whole process of VPDN backend management system from requirement analysis to test. Object-Oriented software development includes requirement analysis, design, implement, testing, and maintenance. Requirement analysis has different forms, such as nature language, use case, scenario, process description, and so on. In design perspective, it adapts JSP Model2 architecture, that is, Model-View-Controller (MVC) pattern. The database model design is gained according to class diagram designed by UML. It uses JUnit to do testing.This system starts from beginning of 2009, and completed in end of that year. After integration and upgrade, VPDN backend management system provides service well, and made contribute to improve VPDN service and make it efficiency.This article describes how to reuse the design, code, framework, etc to efficiently develop a new application though a survey system. The Object-Oriented system development process and gain efficient development through reuse is typical and valuable in Object-Oriented system development.
