The Propagation Model Study Based On Intelligent Traffic Safety Vehicle-to-Vehicle Wireless Communication System

With the development of society and economy and with the acceleration of urbanization and motorization, all the countries, whether developed or developing, are undoubtedly troubled by increasing traffic problems. Under this background, in order to relieve the traffic pressure caused by the economic development, every country strengthens the research and construction in intelligent transportation system, making full use of the current resources to play their biggest role.As an important part of the intelligent transportation system, the wireless communication system of vehicle-to-road and vehicle-to-vehicle has been paid more and more attention. The system exchanges and provides the related information about safe driving mainly between neighboring vehicles or between vehicles and roadside infrastructure to improve drivers'vision, help drivers to drive safely and reduce the traffic casualties in cities.This paper outlines the intelligent transportation system, and then for vehicle communication network it introduces IEEE 802.11p standard, IEEE 1609 standard and the composition of vehicle communication network. On the basis of these standards, the safe requirements of vehicle-to-vehicle wireless communication are included. After the related model of safe communication between vehicles is introduced, a new wireless propagation model for vehicle-to-vehicle communication is got and simulated by modifying a known model. The simulation result shows that the new model not only meets the safety requirements of vehicle-to-vehicle wireless communication, but also resembles the real traffic scenes. Therefore, it will have a positive effect on the further study of vehicle-to-vehicle wireless communication.Finally, as a new research direction, the vehicle-to-vehicle wireless communication system certainly has many problems, and the paper lists some of them which have not been solved in the new model. At the same time, it also points out the direction for future research.
