With the great increases of data and video service, communication network gradually becomes a convergence network for triple play form conventional voice network. The rapid increasing bandwidth calls for a higher speed and bigger capacity transmission network, but conventional IM-DD system can not meet the requirement of bandwidth increase because of its restricts in CD (chromatic dispersion), PMD (polarization mode dispersion) and nonlinear effect in fiber optics communication. As a booming technology in 1990s, coherent optical communication can transport a higher data rate better, and compensate various impairments. As a result, coherent optical communication system will gradually become the mainly solution for the next generation transmission network in the future.Under this background, the kernel technology of phase synchronization and correction in coherent optical communication system is systematically researched in this thesis. Major researches and achievements can be divided into several parts as following:1. Research on the background, advantages and disadvantages of coherent optical communication system;2. Research on the propagation characters and key technologies of coherent optical communication system;3. Research on phase synchronization and correction technology based on feed forward structure in coherent optical communication system, analyze the performance of several mainly algorithms in this scheme, and proposed a phase synchronization and correction technology based on logarithm algorithms;4. Research on phase synchronization and correction technology based on feed back structure in coherent optical communication system, analyze the performance of several mainly algorithms in this scheme, and proposed a feed back phase synchronization and correction technology in transmitter;5. Summarize the phase synchronization and correction technology in coherent optical communication, and simply forecast the future of coherent communication. |
