In the past decade the wireless networks has witness so many advanced and rapid changes. And the resource allocation for cooperative relaying strategies have become a major topic in the wireless research and community as well as widely recognized as the vital breakthrough that will improves the performance of wireless communication systems by providing increased robustness to channel variations as well as potential energy saving. The cooperative communications have been proposed to exploit the spatial diversity gains inherent in multi-user wireless systems without the need of multiple antennas at each node. This is achieved by having the users relay each other's messages and thus forming multiple transmission paths to the destination. As the wireless communication become more and more powerful and important role in modern communication systems. And it believed that the numbers of subscribers in the future mobile telephones will exceed the numbers of fixed phones and become the core network for communication in many countries. In new era of communication, consumers hope to have a perfect connection between cordless and mobile phones with low service cost and energy saving. This thesis focuses on the research which is in general area of resource allocation for cooperative relaying in wireless networks. The thesis consists of six chapters.Chapter 1 introduces the basic concepts of wireless communication systems. Chapter 2 introduces the development history of mobile communication. This will be based in the development history and process of 0/1/2/3 G's technology. Chapter 3 studies the evolution status for Fourth Generation of Mobile Communication. This will focus in the development history and process of 4G. Chapter 4 introduces the general bibliography of cooperative communications. Chapter 5 introduces the performance analysis and development prospects relay technology, also will explain more about at what time can the resource allocation for cooperative relaying be applied, and at what time can the resource allocation for cooperative relaying can have much useful. Chapter 4 and 5 are the core key part or the center of my thesis (paper). The last chapter is chapter 6, this chapter introduces the summary and prospect of my thesis, in this chapter I put forward my own points of view and gives suggestion for future research works.
