With the development of 3G communication technology and the issue of China's 3G commercial networks operator licenses, the construction of 3G communication networks develops rapidly in China. How to make the 3G networks have greater capacity and better quality? In order to achieve these objectives, reasonable and effective 3G radio networks planning is essential. Traffic is one of the important modules in 3G radio networks planning, because the purpose of constructing 3G networks is to provide high-speed, high-quality and a wide variety of wireless data or voice services; According to the services that have been used, we can see that there are varies types of service and services change constantly. In the process of 3G radio networks planning, traffic modeling which includes traffic-classification and traffic-prediction is very important. In the radio networks planning, and user-generation is also important in the process of 3G radio networks planning according to the distribution of services.Firstly, this thesis researches on the basic theory of 3G communication and 3G radio networks planning. Secondly, based on the existing practice of 3G radio networks planning projects, this thesis researches on the general process of the 3G radio networks planning; Based on the existing 3G radio networks planning software platforms, such as TOP3 and UNET, this thesis analyses the common structure of the 3G radio networks planning software, introduces the principles, roles, implementation method and the main algorithm of some important module in the 3G radio networks planning software. Finally, the thesis highlights the role and characteristics of traffic module; researches on the methods of traffic-classification, traffic-prediction and traffic-modeling; proposes an algorithm of user-generation based on traffic-modeling and analyzes the characteristics and performance of the algorithm. Specifically, the contents of this paper listed as follows:(1) The principles and techniques of 3G radio networks planning.(2) The general structure of 3G radio networks planning software, including the roles and theories of some important modules in the software.(3) Traffic-modeling of 3G Radio networks planning.(4) The analysis of the algorithm of user-generation in 3G radio networks planning.The methods of traffic-modeling and the algorithm user generation involved in the thesis based on existing 3G radio networks planning software platform, and all these algorithms are completed on the software. The method of traffic-modeling and the algorithm of user-generation have been proved to be reasonable and effective. |
