With the rapid developments of medical imaging technology and the rapid increase of computer processing speed, the medical image digitalize management is becoming more and more common. Using computer technology to process medical images to alleviate medical staff workload and improve the diagnostic quality has now become an important international research direction. Interactive medical image processing system and computer-aided detection system changes the ancient way of the doctor observed film diagnostic rule of thumb, so that doctors can get a better visual function and quantitative information for clinical diagnosis and treatment of various diseases and the importance of supporting reference.The research is part of the Chongqing Science and Technology "the research of enhanced disease detection and diagnosis intelligent software system". The paper discusses the technology research with the use of ITK and VTK in the realization of interactive medical image processing system and computer-aided detection and diagnosis of the system, including an interactive medical image display, annotation measure, magnifying glass, local window transfer, straight side Figure equalization ROI of solitary pulmonary nodules and lung function of the regional extraction of detailed design and implementation. The works are as follows:①Proposing the relative absolute coordinate system of image window. After the image spatial alternation, how to determine the image and the position display of the marker in the window, the paper proposed the image for the relative coordinate system and the window for the absolute coordinate system to solve this problem.②Design and realize the interactive image display function.? According to the characteristics of medical image, the window adjusting of medical image, zooming and dragging only by mouse is designed in the paper.③Design and realize the interactive image marker and measure function. The conversion relation of display property and actual property in a variety of medical image marker is researched, to design and realize the marker measure function of marker various types, easy and simple controlling and good interaction property.④Solution the ITK, VTK on Chinese support problem. The question that ITK and VTK cannot read the Chinese path file and the VTK cannot display Chinese is been solute in the paper. ?⑤Design and realize the function of medical image magnifier glass, partial window adjusting and medical image histogram equalization. Medical image magnifier glass and partial window adjusting are the proper operation of medical image. Owing to the diverse pixel level of different medical image type, the histogram and its equalization of a multiple of medical image type is designed and realized in the research.⑥Propose the method of joint use of ITK and VTK to achieve the extraction of solitary pulmonary nodules ROI region. Thesis gives full play of the advantages to ITK in image segmentation and VTK in image visualization, jointing use of ITK and VTK to achieve the extraction of solitary pulmonary nodules, and providing a framework for ROI region using ITK and VTK for the joint development of medical aid detection and diagnosis system.The purpose of the research is the realization of practicability. The procedural process speed and efficiency is also fully considered. Based on an interactive display and marker measure of medical images, medical image marker system is developed, to realize the medical expert knowledge and obtain of marker data, providing the training data, test data and medical expert knowledge base for assist detection and diagnosis. On the basis of the interactive medical image display, marker measure, magnifying glass, local window adjusting, medical image histogram and a variety of space conversion and filtering dispose, the medical image viewer is developed and exploited. The development and exploit of medical image viewer is convenient for medical image browse and providing a platform for the deep research of medical image process and development. Extracting the solitary pulmonary nodules ROI area as an important part, the research achieved the lung CT image computer diagnostic test systems with the concerted effort of our research team, proving a guide for the use of ITK and VTK for computer-aided detection and diagnosis system development and exploit.
