3D measurement technology, which is used to acquire the exterior or theinterior shape of the measured object, has been widely employed in researchand industry. Structured light imaging system is based on the non-contactphotographic measurement theory. Coded structured light with special patternproject to the target, and the image stripes are extracted and matched toacquire the spatial information. This method combines the computer visiontechnology with measurement technology, and can reconstruct the objectsurface with high speed and accuracy.Infrared image can represent the surface temperature of object. Manydiseases have temperature features on skin, such as thyroid gland disease, breast cancer, pain syndrome and etc, because the metabolism of illness regionwould have some abnormality. And this functional abnormality can bedetected earlier than the structural abnormality which can be diagnosed byMRI, ultrasound or X-ray.In this dissertation, we construct a 3D infrared imaging system through the combination of structured light imaging system and infrared camera. Thefeature point cloud and optimized Delaunay triangulation in reconstructedsurface is acquired by image analysis. With the help of intrinsic and extrinsicparameters acquired through the system calibration, a novel approach isproposed to map thermogram to 3D surface by use of a highly speedalgorithm, and acquire 3D temperature field of biological tissue surface. Incontrast to traditional 2D thermogram, 3D temperature distribution providesspatial locations of temperature which has great value in clinical diagnosis. The early diagnosis of breast cancer has gained more and more attentionin recent years. In this dissertation, the animal model of breast tumor isconstructed through injecting the tumor cells into nude mice. Then the surfacetriangulations and 3D temperature distribution are acquired based on theinfrared structured light system. Then the spatial features and temperature oftumor region are analyzed, and growth law of tumor is characterized by thesurface area and temperature. At last, the theoretical analysis is supplied forthe results. This work is intended to make preparation for the future use of thissystem in clinical diagnosis.
