The development of integrated circuits based on traditional CMOS technology will encounter bottlenecks in the near future. While emerging nanotechnology and quantum computing bring with a new technology prospective. This paper focuses on the design of quantum circuits. As the progression of electronic design automaton, automatic synthesis and simulation algorithms of quantum circuit are examined in detail. A computation intelligence approach is taken, and the concrete works on the quantum teleportation circuit and quantum-dot cellular automata is demonstrated.Quantum teleportation is a typical quantum circuit. This paper discusses its functionality and physical realization in detail. Then an automatic synthesis algorithm using genetic algorithm targeting at the circuit is put forward. The algorithm is implemented using Matlab's genetic toolbox. The whole work is composed of three phases, initial realization and two improvements. The details of the improvements are recorded carefully in the paper, the same with the effects on the final results. The analysis of the experiment results shows the efficiency of the algorithm. The simulation algorithm is targeted at the quantum-dot cellular automata circuit model. It is based on the inference algorithm of the Bayesian networks. The modeling methods and corresponding algorithms of quantum-dot cellular automata using Bayesian network are illustrated in detail. And the whole algorithm is implemented using BNT toolbox. The effect of the algorithm is demonstrated using the simulation results of the basic circuit structures.
