Test scenario quality is vital for the software product quality. Nowadays, the developing of test cases too much depends on individual's experience. This means that the test scenarios'quality is random and indefinable.How to perform software test with high quality and stability? This is what we need to solve during developing software product. To achieve this goal, one of the basic requirements is test the software using good test scenarios. The good test scenarios should have good function coverage and path coverage of the software. And the test scenarios'quality should be predictable and definable.Before, there is no simple method for test team to follow to develop and review test scenarios. How to help test team to develop good test scenarios and achieve a definable level of test quality? This is the problem my paper tries to solve.By analyzing the test model and test scenario developing practice, the author found a new pattern to improve test scenario quality:Input Matrix Scenario Development Pattern. This pattern provides clear guide lines for test team to develop high quality test scenarios. And the pattern provides simple but effective method and checklist for test scenario review. By following this pattern, a test team can achieve define quality level for its product testing. And it will make the team be mature and the experience is capable of replicate for other teams.To help team to adopt and follow the pattern, the author designed and developed a set of software. This software helps to guide, automate, tracks the test scenario development. It's easy for team to adopt this new patter by using the software.I used this pattern in my team for two years. It really brings us lots of benefit.
