With the technology advances, digital technologies have in-depth people's lives. Digital technology has many unparalleled advantages than analog technology. Traditional audio technology can't satisfy people's requirements, digital audio processing mode become the audio technology trend of development. The rapid development of digital technology, In many occasions, making technology of digital audio gradually replaced analog audio technology. The digital audio processing is which use digital filtering algorithm to achieve signal processing.Adopt digital technology, it will take many complex number crunching, The appear and develop of digital signal processor (DSP) is cater for this requirement. Many special structures of DSP can quickly achieve various digital signal processing algorithms. Digital signal processing technology has become a mainstream subjects now, and it has more and more widespread use.This thesis focuses on digital audio processing technology. The thesis started from hardware design, comparison of the two main audio processing technologies and chose the suitable chips based on it. In this thesis we chose TMS320VC5509A DSP chip which produced by TI company. Thesis begins with the audio system's requirements and characteristics, based on previous researches, we did same optimal designs on hardware circuit of the structure and function. Chips select are more powerful than ever, adopt modular design makes design simpler and keeps the characteristics of strong expansion.The hardware part given the design methodology and implement method of audio processing circuit, and targeted study optimized design. Hardware circuit design started from the DSP minimum system, then given the audio Codec circuit and memory expansion circuit implement method, finally, in the PCB design we considered Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) problems.In software design, Using the filter design and analysis tools and signal processing tools for algorithm and system simulation, in CCS we use assembly language and C language hybrid programming to achieve software design. Using MATLAB and CCS co-simulation, FIR filter is implemented by hardware and on-line debugging system function.The thesis designed and implemented DSP-based audio processing technology, and did some optimizations; hardware could debug on-line and convenient for redevelopment. This design can be used for digital audio signal processing, speech signal analysis, audio decoding and other occasions, Real-time process and analysis digital audio signal. By improving and adding new algorithm, on the premise of not change the hardware, can be achieve audio decoding and signal spectrum analysis. Just write or change the software code, you can facilitate change and increase the system functions. This design has many characteristics, such as small in size, high precision, low power consumption, flexibility and so on.In recent years the rapidly develop of digital technology leading the digital audio development. Now almost all the audio devices are based on digital technology in the market. Its portability and ease-used are very popular, In addition, based on digital technology audio system is more convenient design than ever before. Therefore, the development perspectives and market prospects of digital audio devices are extremely bright in the future.
