Research On Security Mechanism Of Embedded Database System

With the appearance of embedded database and continuous embodiment of its value, embedded database security certainly faces severe challenges. Security design has also become the most important issue in Embedded DataBase System (EDBS) design.The security mechanism of EDBS was studied in this system. On the basis of full consideration of characteristics, security threats and requirements of EDBS, a kind of security scheme which contains multi-mechanisms was presented to enhance the sesurity of EDBS.This paper analyzes the characteristics of EDBS to compare the available safety technology of domestic and foreign-related products, comparing the embedded database with the common database. This paper obtains the security requirements based on the analysis of security threats of EDBS. Then a suitable mechanism and schemes for EDBS is proposed.In this paper, a middleware for operating systems is established, applications and databases in view of authentication, data encryption and remote defense. This article sets different roles to control access to the database of different granularity, providing protective measures based on fingerprint through access control methods based on RBAC. The data encryption technology provides data encryption-based security measures merging database encryption with the database itself, combining with the data of the classified material grades. Remote access to the database proposed SSL-based remote protective measures is also considered.Finally, this paper verifies the feasibility of the embedded database security through embedded system platform. The scheme effectively enhances the security of embedded database.
