Since the fast and constant development of Service-Oriented Computing (SOC) and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), building an integration platform of enterprise applications has become possible. As a SOA infrastructure, enterprise service bus (ESB) has a remarkable scalability in system integrating, which makes it a good choice for application integration. To meet users'ever-changing requirements, the integration platform needs to quickly and efficiently building a proper service. However, these requirements cannot be filled nowadays, since the service orchestration and management of ESB is lack of dynamic orchestration ability. To solve these issues, in this paper we combine dynamic web service composition technologies with service orchestration mechanism of ESB, design and implement an ESB-based dynamic web service composition system (D-Composer), to improve the dynamic orchestration ability of ESB, and the scalability and flexibility of integration platform. In this paper, our research and related works are:Based on OWL-S and the characteristic of web services on integration platform, provide a service type-instance separating model.Based on service type-instance separating model, combines AI planning and workflow technologies, provide a two-step composition method, which uses HTN (Hierarchical Task Network) planning to construct a abstract plan based on service-type model, and then binds service instances to it using symmetric matchmaking.Design and implement a prototype named D-Composer and prove its usability with a scenario.
