Modern software are made up of several reuable components.The copyright of software compnent is the most important intellectual property to the software company.The plagiarism of software component already exist in the industy. The existing plagiarism software can not fulfill the requirement.In order to fulfill the requirement of software plagiarism detection, the paper analyze the issues of existing tools and the problems software plagiarism detection encountered, then raises the Approach for software plagiarism detection based on PDG water print and implements a prototype in Java.The paper studies existing plagiarism detection tools, compare JProf with other PDG profiling tools and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using PDG for plagiarism detection.The paper describe the core idea of PDG water print approach, introduces the design of PDG water print, augue that PDG water print can be the proof of software plagiarism, and discuss the steps of water print approach and its core algorithm.The paper proves that PDG water print approach works although there is any minor interruption by function verification. PDG water print approach has better performance than GPlag.
