With the unparalleled advantage of smart size over automotive vehicles,bicycles are much easier to park. Cyclist can save plenty of time facing traffic jams, especially in short distances. In the meanwhile, as the terminal public transport, bicycles can cover the area that public transport vehicles cannot reach.It has already become a significant worldwide issue for the government to urge people to choose sustainable development means of transportation instead of automotive vehicles.Developed countries have adopt national policies in upgrading urban public transport as well as retooling green traffic environment for cycling and walking.After successively revising laws and regulations on developing bicycle traffic and protecting walkers, countries like European Union, the United Kingdom and Japan have gained plentiful experience in planning theory and designing methods.With the reference to other nation's experience and the present condition of the Bicycle Rental System this paper analyses the current existing problems based on the characteristic functions and objectives of bicycle traffic.Through the contrast between Wuhan and Paris in Smart Bicycle Rental System, the author studies the distribution of bus stop and the problems existing in bicycle traffic in Wuhan.On those bases, the author puts forward the innovative ideas of distribution of bicycle rental site and operation model among them.The author has brought forth new ideas about the shape, color and material quality of the Bicycle Rental System in designing bicycle rental terminal using the method of modularization design.
