The basic idea of cooperative communication is that each single-antenna users in the network share each other's antenna to resist multi-path fading. The relay strategy is the critical issue in cooperative communication. Some collaborative approach and the problem of collaborative time and the algorithm of partner selection are studied in-depth in this paper. The basic program of cross-layer relay strategy is obtained by using the common framework of collaborative communication. The programs of cross layer relay strategy are proposed based on AF and DF separately. When to cooperative, how to choose a relay node and how to allocate the transmission power for the goal of minimizing the outage probability is solved in this program. The frame and the concrete steps of relay selection by cross-layer are given too. The program can select the relay effectively by the latest channel state information for it based on cross-layer thought and it can use the transmission power more efficiently for the specific distribution of transmission power. The simulation results show that the program can achieve a better performance of outage probability.
