Research On Image Registration Technique Based On PDE's

Image registration is a basic problem in image processing, which matches two or more images, at different times, from different sensors or from different view points. Image registration is extensively applied in computer vision, pattern recognition, medical image processing and remote sensing information processing. The applications of variational method and PDE's in image restoration and image registration are studied in this paper. This article focuses on analysis of several classical image denoising models and the differential optical flow image registration algorithm, and then it puts forward the idea of TVCSI in imge denoising and improved algorithms under the framework of variational registration model, which are applied to grayscale image, color image, multi-modality image registration. Experimental results illustrate that the variational registration method has good effectiveness and broad applicability.
