Based on the Producers/ Consumers mode, Rockwell network structure (NetLINK) is a new high-speed network, which can satisfy the demand on the real time of the industry control system. This paper mainly research on the control layer and device layer.ControlNet is the control layer of the NetLINK network. Because of its configuration parameters affecting the network performance, it is necessary to find a reasonable configration. Focusing on the feature of scheduled and unscheduled communication, this paper made the research on the CTDMA (Concurrent Time Domain Multiple Access) algorithm and API(Actual Packet Interval). then created a MAC sub-layer simulation model in data link layer of the ControlNet protocol in the stateflow tools of Simulink. With Multi-parameter changed in the modle, this paper analyzed the real-time, deterministic, and bandwidth utilization. The simulation results proved that ControlNet have much advantage in real time and bandwidth utilization ratio with a reasonable configration. finally got some conclusion about how to configure network parameters reasonably. Both the ControlNet simulation model and the simulation data can provid important reference value for ControlNet bus which will be applied in the real-time control evironment requiring certainty and real-time performance. This paper also analyzed DevicetNet. DevicetNet is in the device layer of the NetLINK network. It based on CAN protocol. According to the communication principle of DeviceNet Defined by CIP, made use of the Object oriented programming method, and then realize the DeviceNet Stack Based on the Embedded System and CAN controller.
