Motor device is widely used in all fields of modern industrial production. A motor device breakdown will not only affect the normal operation of the system, and even cause safety accident. Motor fault diagnosis technology can estimate whether there is a fault and the location of failure in a Motor through detection and analysis of its characteristic signal while the Motor online running, and play an important role in ensuring the safe operation of Motor device.The Rise of Artificial Intelligence Theory including Neural networks, Fuzzy mathematics, Genetic algorithms, Artificial immune algorithm(AIS) etc, providing new ideas and methods for the development of Motor fault diagnosis technology. The research purpose of this paper is to design a motor fault diagnosis system to improve the performance of fault diagnosis and fault diagnosis rate by Utilizing research results in the field of artificial immune algorithm.This paper firstly introduced the application of a variety of common Motor devices, and to select of Asynchronous Motor as an object of the fault diagnosis, according to all kinds of common faults of Motor device, this paper analyzed the causes and the fault feature, and studied various commonly used motor fault diagnosis method on this basis. Because the theoretical basis and methods of measurement are more mature, the diagnosis is accurate, easy to implement and other factors, Vibration Diagnosis Technology (VDT) was chosen as the diagnostic method of this paper.Secondly, this paper studied all kinds of commonly used artificial immune algorithm, and its immunological basis, described the implementation, the advantages and disadvantages of all kinds of algorithms in detail. Basing on the comprehensive study of various algorithms, this paper selected the Negative Selection Algorithm (NSA) as the generation algorithm of the vibration fault detectors, and conducted Clonal Optimization to improve diagnostic performance of the detector.Lastly, this paper designed simulation experiment of fault diagnosis system on Asynchronous Motor bearing, the results show that, compared with traditional detectors, Clonal optimized detectors greatly improved on the detection performance and diagnosis rate, has fairly good effectiveness.
