Direction-finding technology is a hot research topic in array signal processing. It is wisely used in practical applications. Several new algorithms are proposed in this thesis. Firstly, a novel method for DOA estimation using single snapshot in frequency is presented in presence of coherent signals. A novel method of resolving ambiguity via modified sparse even array based on MUSIC algorithm is presented secondly. To solve the problem of subarray division in phased array antennas, the subarray division based on particle swarm optimization algorithm is presented in this thesis; and lists four ways of forming sum and difference pattern and gives the simulation. This paper also discusses two weighting methods of sum and difference. The details described are as follows:1. A novel method of space-borne antenna multi-jamming direction finding algorithm is proposed in the thesis. Firstly, single-snapshot DOA estimation algorithm in frequency is presented to estimate the DOA of multiple targets, and then the nulling projection matrix is used to null the stronger signal in order to estimate the weak signal. Simulation results and performance analysis demonstrate that the algorithm is effective and feasible.2. A novel method for resolving ambiguity via modifying sparse even array based on MUSIC algorithm is proposed.Firstly, the pattern using data from original array is given.Secondly, modify the array by gliping space.Therefore the ambiguity can be resolved. Finally, the DOA can be obtained. The least adjust value of resolving ambiguity and method to judge the performance are deducted simultaneously.The relation between the performace and the glip space is given. Numerical examples show its validity.3. To solve the problem of subarray division in phased array antennas, the subarray division based on particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed in the thesis. Several ways of forming sum and difference patterns are analyzed in detail in this thesis.
