Research On Imagine And Video Denoising

Image and video denoising is to remove the noise brought during the image and video acquisition and transmission. It can enhance the image quality and make things convient for the following process, so image and video denoising is a very important procedure in the image processing. There are two main aspects in this paper. In image denoising, this paper proposes a new detail preserving median filter algorithm for removal of High-density Salt and pepper noises. It first detects the noise pixels and then replaces only corrupted pixels by either the trimmed median or the average of previously processed neighborhood pixels, while uncorrupted pixels remain unchanged. In video denoising, a new video denosing model which combines wavelet and time domain filtering is built in this paper. It first uses wavelet denoising filter to preprocess the noisy video, then takes the time domain filter based diamond motion estimation for further processing, which determines low-intensity areas by setting the threshold, and smoothen fine lines using neighboring frames information, ensuring Video fluency after denoising. Finally, this algorithm compared with other classical denoising algorithms shows the feasibility.
