The stability of Extended State Observer (ESO) and application of Active Disturbance Rejection Controller (ADRC) is presented in the paper. The stability of ESO is analyzed used describing function method in frequency-domain, and necessary or sufficient conditions for stability are obtained. The method of parameters adjusted is summarized for ADRC. ADRC based on artificial neural network (ANN) is applied in Lorenz chaos system, and the simulation show that auto disturbances rejection controller can effectively be used to control Lorenz chaotic systems. The real-time simulation of superheated steam temperature control system in EDPF NT plus proved out the feasibility application of ADRC in power plant. ADRC-PID control system is proved to be more efficient than general cascade control system and it has shorter adjustment time, smaller overshoot, stronger robustness and better anti-interference performance.
