With the extensive application of networked control systems, there are more requirements for its safe operation. Accordingly, fault detection for networked control systems becomes a very interesting research topic. In this paper, that research topic is discussed. For networked control system with random network-induced delay, packet dropout, especially for the ones with non-Gaussian network-induced delay, packet dropout, models are constructed respectively. A fault detection scheme based on minimum error entropy observer under information theoretic learning frame is proposed to deal with those kinds of networked control systems. In the end, numerical examples are presented to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
