In order to solve the problem of studying and examination among the students from different places and heavy duties of examination of teachers from the growing number of students,Web-based online examation has been developed.Based on the analysis of functional requirements and business processes of traditional examination, the paper, combined with practical requirements of current online test, adopt the technology of dynamic webpage, database, data structure, internet communication etc web-based online examation has been designed and carried out.In order to assign higher cohesion and lower coupling degree to the system, while giving a flexible dynamic extension mechanism to system structure and reducing the amount of system maintenance.The paper constructs the DAO part with a simple plant model. In order to solve the problem of instantaneous excessive database IO which caused by frequent operation with many people, we have used connection pool and stored procedures combined with asp.net to reduce the pressure and data traffic of the database access. In order to display the analytic results of examinee more clearly, the pie chart is used to analyze the examination results, DrawPie of Graphics type in ASP.NET is used to plot and FillPie of Grphics is used to fill the chart. In order to improve the efficiency of online examation, the system is adopted a unified paging stored procedure. In order to solve the security of system data access, we use the method of partitioning authorization and identification technology to guarantee the system security. It can prevent illegal access and unauthorized operation and develop the necessary store, backup and recovery measures.At first, the paper introduces the universal application of network at present. With the increasing of teacher's work loads, the original test model can not meet today's examination development. online examation as the important part of modern education system, huge scale will be an inevitable trend of development. The paper also introduces the development background, network,superiority and significance of examation system in detail. Secondly, the paper describes the design and implementation of online examation system including database design and implementation, composition and structure of the system mainly. It describes the Design,implementation method and its implementation process in the method of trace and also focuses on analysis of some aspects of program design and module development process.
