The Research And Implementation On The Concurrency Model Of Heterogeneous Databases

During the process of informationization, enterprises have established variety of information system. Due to different kinds of reasons, every department's system uses an independent database (called heterogeneous database) between corporations or departments, to find that "Information Island" emerges. So it is important to perform concurrency among heterogeneous databases.Based on the concurrency issue of heterogeneous databases, the author brought forward a heterogeneous databases'concurrency model:C model. The model implements the connexity of mainstream databases, e.g. Oracle, SQL Server (can be added with DB2, MySQL, Sybase etc.). Besides, making use of Java's cross-platform compatibility, the application softwares developed on this SDK can be deployed over all platforms including UNIX/Linux and Windows.Firstly, the author designed the architecture of concurrency model of heterogeneous databases by bringing forward a lightweight concurrency model of heterogeneous databases and an enterprise concurrency model of heterogeneous databases.Secondly, by referring to the thoughts of mobile database concurrency, the author designed a concurrency mechanism of heterogeneous database using multi-aspects integrity detection from programming semantics.Thirdly, based on classical locking mechanism and specific locking mechanism of Oracle, the author well examined the locking mechanism in heterogeneous databases and put forward the locking mechanism for concurrency model of heterogeneous databases and the conservative locking mechanism for the entity database of the concurrency model of heterogeneous databases.Last, the author implements a basic prototype based on the previous theories.
