Along with the rapid development of science and technology and digitization of society, educational and industrial circles are putting more and more emphasis on mixed learning style. Interactive smart board goes with the trend of times with its affluent learning resources, convenient operating processes, various teaching patterns and safe, environmental-friendly and energy-efficient advantages, gradually becoming the hot spot of social research. The special background and application make the smart board itself and the file it produces special.In the first place, this paper introduces the requirement and market prospect of smart board, analyzes the function and framework of smart board. Then the paper mainly researches an analysis of the two key steps of video compression, image preprocessing and motion estimation.Image segmentation, which is a main step of image preprocessing, is very precise in the horizontal and vertical edge detection with the Sobel operator, which is very easy to realize, but is very restrictive in complicated texture processing. This paper analyzes the Sobel edge detection operator in detail, improving the operator by tracing the orientation module and image edge. The improved operator is analyzed by experiment.The calculated amount of motion estimation takes up 60%-80% of the total calculated amount. By introducing the usual emotion estimation algorithms, researching an referring to the thinking and steps of these algorithms and analyzing the merits and demerits of them, this paper puts forward a new emotion estimating algorithm, the diamond—hexagon adaptive search algorithm, and does some experiments which demonstrate that the algorithm decrease largely the cost of video compression while ensuring the quality of smart board video.Usual algorithms of magnifier and some algorithms already used by industries are also summarized and analyzed in this paper. It also makes some improvements on the algorithm of magnifier.
