Realize Of Moving Object Detection Algorithm Designed Based On DM642

The moving target detection based on image sequences is an important research orientation in computer vision. TMS320DM642 is a chip produced by TI which is specially employed in video and image processing. It has comprehensive application prospects to develop new functions and study in order to process image targets. At present, there are many reports about dynamic target detection methods, however, because of processing different objectives, a large amount of information which will be processed as well as higher complexity of the algorithms so that the real time feature has become a bottleneck of image processing and a difficult technology problem that plagues technical staffs.In this paper the moving target detection algorithm has been well achieved on the platform based on TMS320DM642. The existing background updating and modeling algorithms are studied and the background updating algorithm based on single pixel is designed emphatically. Then the algorithm mentioned above has been transplanted successfully into the hardware environment. Finally the moving target detection under the single camera environment of the platform is well realized. And the paper has launched research work in the following aspects:1. In this paper, at first by employing static background image sequence as a template, some common methods of moving target detection are researched and compare all kinds of methods mentioned in the paper by simulation so as to point out their advantages and disadvantages and application scope.2. Background updating algorithm, based on single pixel, which is simple and less computation is designed via method research of moving target detection. Background subtraction method is used to detect the moving target on that basis.3. Hardware environment of TMS320DM642 and software environment of CCS2.2 are studied emphatically. A large number of data transmission bottleneck problems have been solved successfully by using EDMA transmission method. Furthermore system hardware block diagram is designed and laid a certain foundation for the future hardware development.4. In this paper moving target detection based on TMS320DM642 has been well achieved, specific realization process of the algorithm is also introduced detailed and the algorithm is transplanted successfully.At last conclude the characteristics of moving target detection algorithm and point out some insufficiencies of the work, and meanwhile prospect the future development based on the paper which has been finished.
