Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is the application of the up-to-date information technology in workshop management. It is the workshop-oriented production control information system between the plan and the industrial control systems. It is the basis for agile manufacturing enterprise. It provides workshop managers with real-time information about product planning, product tracing resource allocation and so on. It monitors the production process and maintains the production process in operation. MES is a bridge that spans and fills up the gap between the planning systems and direct industrial controls. It is an effective tool for the management and workshop floor control.The workshop scheduling management is the core module of MES, which greatly affects the efficiency, operation and management of workshop. Effective scheduling can reduce production cost and enhance enterprise competitiveness. The workshop scheduling is a typical combinatorial optimization problem, Studying it has both practical significance and theoretical value.After analyzing the characteristics of discrete manufacturing enterprises, it is the introduction of the manufacturing execution system development, technical features, positioning in the enterprise systems and functions, then introduced the concept of shop production scheduling, classification, the study of job shop scheduling problem characteristics and some typical scheduling algorithm and other related theories. The thesis has brought forward a structure of workshop scheduling system based on MES, Separately from the system of functional analysis; integration model, production processes and other aspects are described, and provide a modeling and use cases of the system.Traditional job shop scheduling running time length and complexity of large defects, the paper proposes a rule-based optimization algorithm, with the longest duration as a condition of relative rest or scheduling rules to optimize the scheduling operations. The scheduling rules to ensure that the process of the longest remaining duration is scheduled and Priority scheduling the process that has the shortest working hours while. By comparing the relative remaining duration, to solve the optimal solution for each part of the scheduling, So that the entire operation to the global optimal solution or near optimal solutions. And provide algorithms of the mathematical model, the model of algorithm, the flow chart of algorithm and the specific code of it. Practice shows that in the face of complex scheduling, this scheduling algorithm that can guarantee the computing speed, but also shorten the construction period and close to the optimal solution; in the actual project has a strong practical value.Finally, the paper developed a prototype system of the shop scheduling based on MES using Visual C #. NET programming language, and verified the paper's ideas and methods through solving the typical shop scheduling problem.
