Recently, embedded system technology has become one of the most popular technologies. All kinds of digital products, such as mp3, PDA, Internet appliances, smart appliances and automotive electronics, have entered our lives. With the development of Internet, more and more embedded gadgets can access the Internet. However, it also gives rise to the problem of security. Moreover, how to develop a system is becoming more complicated because of limited resources of embedded systems. Therefore, this paper mainly focuses on the security problem of embedded systems.Firstly, we give a detailed analysis on the current security problems of embedded systems, and then propose two aspects of the design of embedded system. One is the design of system security. In the embedded system development process, the quality of underlying operating system is the key to the stability and efficiency of the entire embedded system. XPE (Windows XP Embedded), more popular embedded operating system development techniques, is gaining in popularity, because of its short development cycle, stable performance, especially widespread attention in the POS machine. This article mainly discusses the development process of XPE systems and proposes a development scheme for XPE systems.The other is the design of application security. This paper analyses a number of embedded technology in detail, including development of the embedded XPE operating system, USBKey identity authentication technology, two-dimensional bar code decoding technology, asymmetric encryption technology based on CA certificate in data transmission, and finally Coal Sales Tickets Control Terminals is implemented with comprehensive application of various technologies in the above. The conclusion of the study is proved to be feasible by implementation Coal Sales Tickets Control Terminals.On the background of develop Coal Sales Tickets Control Terminals, this paper has made profound study and analysis on XPE System Development Flow and some relevant security technology, including USBKey Authentication Technology, 2-Dimensional Barcode Authenticity Control Technology, CA Certification, Digital Signature and RSA Encryption and Decryption Algorithm etc. Finally, it proposed a set of scheme in embedded system security, further improved relevant technology in implementation process and realized Coal Sales Tickets Control Terminals.This paper has played a positive role anywhere from theory to practice. It has made systematic study and analysis in many embedded technology that relevant to security. Combined with its study process, it has applied to Coal Sales Tickets Terminals and its study results can be regarded as an effective reference for similar systems in other fields. The theoretical significance of this paper is that its study result of relevant technology can be take for reference for the study of relevant fields in the future. Its practical significance is that it, through the development of Coal Sales Tickets Control System, has filled the gap of this field and further promoted the information development of coal industry. At the same time, it, by information technologies, has strengthened the control power of Coal Industry Authority in the integration of coal resources, supervision of sales, and manipulation of coal industry.
