The Affecting Factors Of Facial Expression Recognition: Expression Intensity And The Presentation

Facial expressions are very important information media, is also the most obvious human emotions form explicit. Facial expressions for interpersonal communication provides a quick and effective system of signs that emotional need not rely on words can accurately be delivered.Currently, the research about the strength and styles of expressions is little. Therefore, this research with these two aspects as target for the three experiments.A survey on students to identify basic expressions of happy, sad, fear, anger, surprised and disgust. In the second experiment, anger, fear, and surprised expression for the one factor, with the four kinds of an expression of 50%, 75%, 25%, and four factors for two, design strength by two factors in experiment. Lab 3 to 4 kinds of expression for a video of dynamic factors, and static pictures presents two ways for the two factors, two factors was tried in design.According to the above three experiments, this research suggests that a conclusion:(1) the students for six basic facial recognition results there exist significant differences, happy and sad most accurately identify the most quickly, and was angry, disgust, fear and surprised four recognition result is bad.(2) six basic facial recognition of the sequence of previous studies, with different experiment, the six basic expressions in order to identify: happy and sad, fear, anger and disgust, surprised.(3) experimental results show that the same kind of expression in different level of intensity, the recognition results, the better the extreme hyperbole and 100% of the expression is easier to identify.(4) no matter what level of intensity, fear and speed of recognition rate of almost all higher than other three kinds of expression, this difference may be due to fear expression is sensitive to people.(5) analysis of experimental results show that the dynamic video presentation in anger, disgust, fear, surprise and four grades of expression in static pictures better identify the achievement presentation.(6) the dynamic expression can improve facial expressions of the recognition rate and accuracy.
