UAV is an unmanned aircraft. It can be controlled, carry a variety of mission equipments, execute multiple tasks and be able to re-use. It is widly used in military, civilian and scientific research fields. Currently, UAV monitoring and control directional antenna with single channel single pulse tracking uses the signal phase relationship to judge the level and pitch positions. It costs high, complexity, inconvenience maintenance. This paper proposed system bases on GPS positioning, compass and sliding rheostat feedback, stepper motor control and other digital guide way. So it is simple and more reliability and stability then previous systems. This paper presented a UAV antenna tracking system by the idea of embedded system design with the UAV project of Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy as engineering background. Firstly, according to the technical specifications of the system requirements, the conceptual design of this system is proposed. The system is divided into three parts, i.e. hardware design, software design and mechanical structure design. LPC2368 is selected as the core controller of the system, the sensor module of GPS and compass are designed; Adopt RV-MDK as software development environment andμC/OS-II as the system software development platform. TheμC/OS-II is transplanted into the LPC2368. Tasks are divided in according with the system functions as well as communications between each task with semaphore; Mechanical structure design by Auto CAD, which has two degrees of freedom.Based on the above ideas, the antenna tracking system is developed. The relevant static and dynamic simulation tests are carried out. And the test data is analysised. It shows that the design of the system meets the technical specifications, achieves the desired results and can be further applied into practice. This study has a certain practical significance and application value. It is expected to provide inspiration and reference for microwave antenna alignment, tracking geostationary satellites and other designs which bases on embedded system design.
