A Study Of Face Tracking And Recognition System Based On OpenCV Library

Human face is our primary focus of attention in social intercourse, playing a major role in conveying identity and emotion. Research on the face tracking, recognition technology has great theoretical and practical value.This paper focuses on building a set of human face recognition and tracking system to committed to accurate and real-time color video images, and can transmit the tracked human face image to the recognition part to identify the person's status. The system is divided into client and server parts. The tracking algorithm which carries on morphology processing after traditional track algorithm Camshift and assignments several tracking devices is applied to the client for duplex face tracking. The server-side first divides the person face image into blocks according to its chief feature, then the blocks uses the Eigenface algorithm separately to realize the person's status recognition. The system implementation for multiple face tracking can be widely used among the various security systems, such as:ATM machine monitoring system, access control system.
