It is one of hot spots of optical wireless communication research field in abroad that using white LED light source to transmit information through wireless mode currently. In VLC system, white LED is used not only as the illuminator in the rooms, but also as the source of the communication system, which is a promising new technology.In this thesis, we introduced the current situation of indoor visible light communication by white LED at home and abroad in detail, analyzed the key techniques and the Principles of system composition and modulation techniques, and simulated the necessity of applications OFDM in the visible communication. Then we used infrared iterative channel estimation algorithms to calculation and improved the channel impulse response of visible light communication, which can better reflect the VLC channel characteristic. Finally, in visible light communications system on OFDM, we used an adaptive OFDM/OQAM to improve system performance .It can adaptively selected sub-band modulation mode by a better channel estimation to increasing the system throughput. From the result of computer simulation, we can demonstrate the feasibility and superiority.
