Drivers is the main part in a human - vehicle - road transport system, there is a big correlation between the operation behavior, cognitive characteristics, psycho-physiological state of drivers and traffic accident. However, as the above factors is difficult to obtain and the quantitative expression, in-depth studies are difficult to carry out. As information technology and imaging technology developing, virtual traffic simulation platform with using virtual reality and visual simulation technology become a powerful tool for solve the problem. Compared with other experimental means, the experimental platform for road safety based on visual simulation technology and virtual environment can not only complete control of experiments in environmental factors, efficient collect experimental data efficiently, but apply a safe environment for dangerous situation of responses of limits of human physiological, vehicle braking and collision, and have a low running costs. With the in-depth analysis of driving behavior choices under diffenent environments and instance of psychological and physiological, explore the incident mechanism, seek the best way to improve the traffic safety. Development Traffic Simulation Platform with driving behavior analysis function is necessary and feasible.The paper presents a study of driving behavior-oriented simulation platform design. Firstly, define the function and composition of the various parts of the platform. Based on the in-depth analysis of key technologies, built to achieve a simulation experiment platform. Secondly, focused analysis the features of parameter of driver safety features, analysis indicators of the selection of pre-acquisition. Lastly, use simulation platform to study the afternoon driving fatigue driving behavior, analys driver's physiological and psychological indicators changes. Finally, compose the driving behavior simulation platform.Chapter III focuses on the driving behavior characterization and collection method. Driving behavior consists mainly of two aspects, one is driver's physical and psychological individual characteristics, the other is driver's operating characteristics and the vehicle motion characteristics, collected indicators of driver's individual characteristics by Eyelink, Facelab4 and other equipment.
