As the third-time tide of Internet,Grid would provide next generation distributed applications and services.Grid is communicated by the Internet, but Internet is a public network which is very on-limits and isomerism,so the grid tasks running on the Internet will face various safe threats, such as intercepting the data, distorting or deleting the contents of information, counterfeiting the legal customer and Server. Therefore valid security measures need to be adopted in the grid environment, insure a system safety. As a kind of active measure of information assurance, intrusion detection acts as the effective complement to traditional protection techniques such as access control, firewall andidentity authentication.Firstly, this paper proposes the basic points such as the architecture and security infrastructure of Grid and point out the disadvantage of Grid.Through the study on Virtual Organization,Intrusion Detection System and Grid Service,a Virtual Organization-based Grid Intrusion Detection System is proposed.Secondly,in order to further enhance the speed and efficiency of Virtual Organization-based Grid Intrusion Detection System, this paper solves the problem of the selection and the scheduling of the resource according to the shortcut selection algorithm.Meanwhile,a new multi-pattern algorithm called NMWM is proposed, based on MWM algorithm. The new algorithm is improved in the pretreatment stage and the match stage to further enhance the speed of intrusion detection. At last, the Intrusion Detection System is simulated by SimGrid toolkit. And NMWM algorithm is tested by Snort.By analyzing the experiment result, it proves that the coincidental to the theory basically, and the performance of intrusion detection system is improved to a certain extent.
