Research And Implementation Of Spectrum Management And Allocation In Cognitive Radio

With the development of radio communication technology, spectrum resource has been more widely utilized, and the scarceness of wireless spectrum hampers the continual development of wireless communication. Using the licensed spectrum in "secondary utilization" way, cognitive radio provides a feasible solution for contradiction between spectrum resource scarcity and increasing radio access demands. This new technology arises as a hot topic in wireless communication in recent years. This paper researches on spectrum resource management and allocation technology in the field of cognitive radio. It aims to study the spectrum resource allocation strategy and build the cognitive radio system resource management interface platform to achieve the selection, control and effective management capabilities of the allocation of resource.In this paper we briefly introduce the background, concepts of cognitive radio and its research status at home and abroad. Then we describe the cognitive radio resource management and allocation models. Especially, we elaborate the cognitive radio system resource management platform. Then the system structure and the procedure of the center-based resource management scheme and distributed resource management scheme are given. By comparing the traditional reactive spectrum allocation strategy, a new proactive spectrum allocation strategy and two proactive spectrum allocation criteria are proposed according to the practical cognitive radio communication systems. Finally, we analyze the performance of cognitive radio spectrum allocation algorithm from different points of view. The simulation results show the superiority of the proactive spectrum allocation algorithm. We also realize the resource management interface platform. The demonstration results show the management center can complete resource management and allocation of spectrum in the control interface.
