DSA (Digital Subtraction Angiography) is an image processing technology which eliminates the bone and soft tissue on the angiogram video by computer,only highlights the vascular on the medical image.As the DSA image quality is so important for the doctor to determine the diagnosis that the image enhancement algorithms for DSA become a focus of the researchers.This paper describes the background and research significance of the DSA first,focusing on the status quo of DSA research both at home and abroad.Then introduced the fundamental principles of DSA,and did some simulations of the image enhancement algorithms.As the simulation results were not excelent,in order to overcome the shortcomings of traditional image enhancement algorithms,this paper proposed a new idea that do pre-denoising and post-enhancing.In the Pre-denoising,use adaptive wavelet threshold denoising based on Bayes criteria;in the later part of the enhanced process used piecewise linear histogram transformation and improvement of a combination of local contrast enhancement algorithm for imaged enhancement.Finally, used the new algorithm in the frame images from the DSA video to do image enhancement processing.Experimental results showed that this algorithm could enhance the specific areas of images on the basis of removing noises.It could also improve the image SNR.Processed images have clearer details and stronger sense of hierarchy.It is easy for doctors to analyse and diagnose.The follow-up medical image processing could be convenient too.
