Research On Simple Objects Tracking Technologyin In The Video Signal

Along with the development of the computer and digital image processing technology, moving objects detection and tracking in the video signal are becoming research focus. This paper presents the research of simple moving objects detection and tracking in the video signal, designs a system to do this, and finally implements it.This paper first introduces the development of objects detection and tracking, and the basic algorithmic theory for this intent. Then introduces OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision) with which to implement the system, and digital image processing method. After that this paper presents deep research for the algorithmic of objects detection and tracking. As for detection, the research focus on temporal difference and background subtraction algorithm, analyses both advantage and disadvantage of them. Then the shadow detection and removal algorithm have been studied. As for tracking, this paper presents the Camshift algorithm and forecast filter algorithm, also the method to deal with the shelter. With sufficiency research for the detection and tracking research, this paper designs a system for simple objects detection and tracking in the video signal. In part of detection, it uses a method which integrates the temporal difference and background subtraction algorithm. First builds the background image with Gauss Model. When updating the background, it detects the moving area using temporal difference algorithm, and updates the background using the frame without the moving area. In the tracking part, it uses a method which integrates the Camshift and Kalman Filter. In this way, it can use both the color and the movement information to get better tracking effect.Finally this paper summarizes the research and implements experience of the objects detection and tracking system, and points out disadvantage of the research and what should be done in the future.
