Mechanical parts with complex surfaces, especially the import parts and components in the use of the process of wear, fracture, corrosion and other reasons, as well as the failure of human factors happened while the necessary repair or replacement is needed. The methods of traditional parts repair are inefficient, poor in accuracy and can not effectively guide the parts which could be restored to repair. The study of failure parts with complex 3D parts testing methods has great significance. To guide the use of 3D inspection repair parts, the key is to obtain the digital model of parts. In this paper we research positive and reverse mixed modeling method to rebuild failure parts with of complex surface model, 3D digital model testing to guide the provision of repaired model, as well as to manufacturing of parts. In this paper including following aspects:1) Domestic fittings characteristics and constrains study. Parts of the failure carry out the classification; its repairable is discussed; Study the failure characteristics and constraints of complex parts.2) Domestic Accessories complex surface parts of the process of digitalization studies. Discuss the key of digital technology on failure components with the complex surface, and research the data cloud to be repaired of failure parts.3) Domestic Accessories complex surface geometry model reconstruction and quality of evaluation studies. Study on the complex surface model reconstruction methods; failure parts rebuilding and repair parts model evaluation of smoothing. Repaired parts based on the 3D test.4) Forward and reverse the mixed system of innovative design studies. Studied the failure parts mixed modeling system, mixed modeling process; the parameters of re-engineering research. Based on Imageware12.1 and UG NX4.0 as a platform to complete the model reconstruction of several types of failure parts, verify its feasibility and applicability.
