Fluid simulation is always one of the popular studies in computer graphics. At present, it made certain of work in fluid simulation at home and abroad based on PC. The existing fluid simulation algorithm is generally divided into two categories, based on the physical model approach and based on particle systems. As the popular of mobile phone, PDA and other embedded devices, the smooth, realistic fluid simulation is become more and more meaningful. But the simulation research aimed at J2ME platform is less, the simulation effect is two-dimension, the process ability of embedded device processor is low and the memory is limited, the simple method which transplantation by algorithm can not load the extremely algorithm operand and thus leads to the unsmooth, un-realistic simulation effect. The thesis will take the candlelight simulation as an example to explain a new three-dimensional candlelight simulation algorithm aimed at the J2ME platform and based on the particle system.This algorithm is consist of two parts: the basic move track of the candlelight under the non-wind effect, and the wind effect model based on the decomposition and the overlay and other concept. And overlay the basic move track and the wind effect model to compose the whole movement of the signal particle system. Then through the move independence and activation status, the thesis finally simulates the candlelight burning that has the two-dimension wind under the multi-wind effect. The algorithm fully considers the feature of J2ME platform, the lower algorithm complexity and pre-treatment of the basic move track and the color information, proved the smooth of the simulation effect. The wind effect model that is based on the real life scene, impact degree, rotation axis and the rotation degree could force the particle system to do some rotation movement to proved the verisimilitude of the simulation effect.According to the thought of design pattern and M3G technology, based on the stability and high scalability, the candlelight simulation system is analyzed, designed and implemented. The candlelight outside subsystem and the wind subsystem make the user interactive more powerful, and also prove the adaptability of the simulation system under different scene.
