With the rapidd evelopment of the telecom industry, the traditional telecom concepts and architecture are constantly impacted by Internet technology, which represents the new technologies and theories. The amalgamation of various networks has become the current networks' development trend. At the same time, the increasingly various service requirements urgently need the support of the new technology and network. Under this background, the NGN (Next Generation Network) based on Softswitch technology comes into being and develops rapidly. Softswitch technology combines the characteristics of effective operation and management of the traditional telecom technology and the simple, open and flexible concepts of IP network. The key idea of Softswitch is the separation of service, call controlling and bearer. Through the layered architecture and open interfaces, Softswitch can effectively resolve the evolution and amalgamation problems of existing networks, also decrease the cost of network. Softswitch can provide new service continuously and make the network operators to gain earnings quickly.This paper is meant to introduce the necessity of building through the PSTN network in Shanxi Netcom, and also put forward the construction of the feasibility of soft-switching network programs according to the characteristics of the current network .ZTE introduces the situation of Shanxi Softswitch network test network, the network of related equipment, and how to test network with the existing PSTN network as well as the hope of initial business development and profitability of shanxi Softswitch network. It mainly talks about the program of replacing 211 NEC, and an analysis of a variety of soft-switched networks as well as the analysis of the rate of 211 Board after the end of network. Combined with maintenance work in the actual experience, several typical cases has been put forward. A solution is founded through the analysis of some detailed cases.Finally, I point out some advantages of ZTE Softswitch network .Some deficiencies still remain to be solved.
