Research Of Precoding For MIMO Wireless Communication Systems

Because of the extraordinary capacity, MIMO wireless communication technology has already greatly improved the performance of the communication system. At the same time, the study of the beyond third generation (B3G) mobile communication system has gradually stepped into the initial phase of implementation. As one of the major technique in the third generation system (3G), the theory and key technology related to the MIMO wireless communication has received worldwide attention, including the research of MIMO precoding techniques. MIMO precoding technique can greatly decrease the complexity of the receiving machine, especially for the downlink of the cellular mobile communication system, which has already been focused worldwide.The precoding technology of MIMO system is mainly investigated in this thesis, the main research of this thesis including the following aspects:1. Go deeply into the research background of MIMO system, learning the signal model of MIMO system, detailed analyse the basic principle and key technology. Based on the transmission circumstance and mobile channel characteristic of wireless communication system, briefly analyse the signal detect arithmetic and power allocation scheme, also some emulator results are given.2. Conclude the exiting precoding technology, emphase on the THP of the non-linear precoding. After that, introduce the power allocation to the THP and the system performance is better.3. This thesis studys the compensation arithmetic for the estimation of CSI, by the use of the channel compensation on the transmitting side, the THP and power allocation can improve the system performance.4. Finally, introduce the codebook design method. Based on the precoding matrix in 3GPP-LTE protocol, Bring forward a simple precoding matrix selecting arithmetic. This method can greatly decrease the complexity comparing with the optimal solution, also has almost the same performance as the optimal solution.
