In recent years, the increasing rapid growth of the telecommunication networks brings more kinds of service demands. Thus easy creation and rapid deployment of innovative applications become challenges beyond the classical intelligent network technology.Wireless ad hoc networks are dynamically organized by a collection of wirelessmobile hosts. The communication between mobile hosts can be accomplished via the nearby mobile hosts interchanging messages. In ad hoc networks, any pre-establishedwired or wireless infrustrctures and the centralized administration, such as the basestations, are unnecessary. Thus, the wireless ad hoc network is especially importantand useful in the small region or the region without base station supporting such as in battlefield or disaster area.An Ad Hoc Network is a multi-hop, temporary and autonomous system composed by mobile nodes with wireless receiving and sending functions. Compared with wired networks.Recently, due to the popularity of GPS (Global Positioning System), Conbime the location tracking Techology with GPS ,We the performance of routing will be effected due to the waste of bandwidth or network congestion under thelimitations of network bandwidth, memory capacity and battery power. In this paper, we design a hybrid location service scheme which combines the advantages of table-driven and source-initiated on-demand for large ad hoc network. This scheme is superior in location update overhead, query path length (in hops) and query success rate.
