In the traditional industry area the main purpose of robot application is to solve the employee shortage or for dangerous work. And with the development of robot application where the robot become a part of people's life, the robot becomes more as a companion of people more than a tool. So the research area on robot also develops from traditional robot movement or intelligence to human robot interaction. The focus of this research is on the human-social robot interaction, and the stress is that people have no previous interaction experience with social robot.Previous researches found out that robot appearance and its taks have significant influence on people's preference and interaction performance during human robot interaction. But most of these researches were without actural interaction between human and robot. So the focus of this research is investigate the influence of culture (Chinese, German, Korean), robot appearance (anthropomorphic, machinelike, zoomorphic) and robot task (teacher, guide, entertainment, security) on people's likability, active response, engagement, trust and satisfaction during HRI through experiment with actural human robot interaction. The results show that: 1) Chinese and Korean have higher likability, engagement, trust and satisfaction than German. 2) Only likability is influence by the appearance of robot; higher likability is found for zoomorphic robot than machinelike robot; higher likeability is found for anthropomorphic robot than machinelike robot.3) the active response and engagement is higher for teacher task than security task; the active response is higher for guide task than security task; 4) for anthropomorphic appearance higher active response is found for teacher task than security task, for zoomorphic robot higher active response is found for entertainment task than security task; 5) when the interaction is only done by language, but without gestures or other context shared by the robot and participants, for the factor engagement, smaller differences are found out among different tasks for Chinese and Korean than German.
