Abstract/Summary:
EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) aims at integrating various legacy and new enterprise information systems while workflow management is one of the important technologies of integration. Workflow management technology can make cooperative workflow by organizing and coordinating different systems in EAI. However, current workflow management technology can't adapt to isomerism of business system and requirements of flexible changes of business flows, and it lacks support to EAI of cross-enterprise.SOA is a kind of loose coupling computing patterns under distributed and heterogeneous circumstances, which has features of low implement cost and well interface openness. In this paper, the SOA is applied to the workflow management in EAI, and the current problems including heterogeneous systems integration, business flow's changement with requirements'modification, EAI of cross-enterprise are studied. The achievements are as follows:1. Interface mode of heterogeneous business systems and workflow platforms in EAI are researched. Heterogeneous business systems can be open in an uniform service interface mode by utilizing service encapsulation technology, which can conceal differences among system technologies and running environments and reduce the cost of system interfaces. Using UDDI service registry center to implement uniform management of various services of inside and outside corporation.2. The dynamic workflow technology based on SOA is studied to meet the needs of workflow's flexible changing in EAI. The paper proposes a dynamic workflow description and implement mechanism based on BPEL and a service selection and composition algorithm QSSCA, which support workflow's flexible change. Therefore, the services can be selected dynamically by their functions and QoS requirements which will be reflected to the actions in workflow. They can also be composed automatically to become a more complicated service according to input and output parameters and function definitions.3. On the basis of the research above, a workflow management model based on the SOA (SWMM) is proposed, which can provide application model for constructing the workflow management system in EAI. Combined with the actual application request of a logistics enterprise, a SWMM-based prototype system is developed, in which the feasibility and validity of functions are mainly verified, including the service encapsulation, the flexible change of flows, the dynamic selection and automatic composition for services .
